Iranian popularity in int'l community stirs US to uphold pressure
Tehran, April 13, IRNA - Minister of Industries and Mines Ali Akbar Mehrabian said on Monday that popularity of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the international community has stirred the United States to uphold pressure on Iran.
Mehrabian made the remarks in a meeting with IRNA managing director Ali Akbar Javanfekr.
He cited Islamic Republic of Iran as an important country across the globe.
He said Islamic Republic of Iran has an effective role in major decision making in the world community which is beyond the power of the US imperialism.
"The US imperialism has employed mechanism in the financial sector by which it pays the expense of occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan from pockets of the world people," he said, in reference to major losses the people suffered by collapse of the world stock markets./end
