PM, IJF's head discuss enhancing Judo in Yemen
SANA'A, July 05 (Saba) - Prime Minister Ali Mujawar held talks here on Saturday with the President of the International Judo
Federation (IJF) Marius L. Vizer on aspects of enhancing Judo sport in Yemen.
The talks also dealt with the possibility of assisting in outfitting the Judo main hall that is intended to be established during in Sana'a in 2009.
It also focused on the activities of the 9th Asian juniors' Judo Championship being hosted in the country now amid of a participation of 28 Asian and Arab countries that would conclude its competitions today, Saturday.
Vizer highlighted the importance of this championship and the role of judo sport in developing the courage and morality and enhancing education and culture among youths.
He accentuated the readiness of the IJF to reinforce its cooperation with the Yemen Judo Union and provide it with all requisite equipments.
