President Ahmadinejad condoles Polish nation on death of president
Tehran, April 12, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday cabled a condolence message to the Polish nation and government on the death of Polish president and his entourage.
In the message which was addressed to the country’s interim president, Bronislaw Komorowski, President Ahmadinejad has expressed condolence on the air disaster which claimed life of Polish president Lech Kaczynski along with a group of senior officials.
President Ahmadinejad sympathized with the bereaved families and prayed to God Almighty to bestow patience upon them.
Polish President Lech Kaczynski and a number of the country's highest officials died on Saturday when their plane Tupoleve-154 crashed in North Smolensk in west of Russia.
Some 132 passengers and the crew on board were killed in the tragedy.
The Polish president was to attend in a special ceremony in Russia to commemorate polish soldiers killed during world war II./end
