MONTSAME DIRECTOR SENDS LETTER OF CONDOLENCES

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. Tugalkhuu Baasansuren, Director General of the MONTSAME News Agency, sent April 11 a letter of condolences to his Polish counterpart Valerie Sivinski, Director General of the Poland News Agency (PAP). The full version of the letter is as follows;
"All Mongolians deeply concerned about the news that President of Poland Lech Kaczynski, his spouse Maria Kaczynska and many state and military top ranking leaders died tragically in a plane crash on April 10, 2010. I was even more shocked to learn that among them were my old friends who are prominent member of Sejm Iolanta Shymanek-Deresh, Izabella Yaruga-Novatska, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrzej Kremer.
We all know that late President Lech Kaczynski was an outstanding leader who elevated Poland's prestige on the international arena. His official friendly visit to Mongolia has imparted a great impetus to the development of Mongolia-Poland relations and cooperation, including the deepening of collaboration between the news agencies of the two countries.
On behalf of all Mongolians, I express our deep grief and sympathy to Poland and Polish people over the great losses."
