Iran: Govt’s policy, to qualitatively improve industrial townships

Qazvin, April 11, IRNA – Deputy Mines and Industries Minister and Managing Director of Iran’s Small Industries a Industrial Townships Organization said here Friday that qualitative improvement of industrial townships is the government’s policy.
According to IRNA correspondent, Khodamorad Akbari made the comment after attending the opening ceremonies of a number of projects at Caspian Industrial Township of Qazvin Province.
He added, “45 percent of the qualitative improvement of the country’s industrial townships has taken place during the 9th government’s tenure.”
Akbari said that one of the fruits of the cabinet members’ provincial visits is acquiring a comprehensive insight about the balanced industrial development of the country and the lacking required infrastructures in each part of the country.
He added, “The general policy of the Mines and Industries Ministry and the Small Industries Organization after the qualitative expansion of the industrial townships is their qualitative improvement, their development and their advancement.”
The minister added that the ground is paved now for the presence of the private sector at well developed townships of the country, arguing, “The government provides facilities and allocates the required assets, while paying special attention to the less developed parts of the country as prioritized and preferred parts for the establishment of new industrial units that can create new jobs there.”
Ahmadi added, “The Mines and Industries Ministry is ready for accepting the private sector industrialists’ requests for the establishment of new industrial townships.”/end
