AZERBAIJANI FM MEETS CZECH FM IN BAKU
Baku, 05 July, (AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Friday with Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg in Baku.
Mr. Mammadyarov said political relations between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic were at a high level, adding there is also great potential to expand economic relations.
The Minister stressed his country makes every efforts to integrate into the European
and Euro-Atlantic structures.
Mr. Schwarzenberg, in turn, praised Azerbaijan`s development. He described the
relations between the two countries as “strategic partnershipâ€. The Czech Minister
emphasized necessity of energy security, as well as integration into the European
and Euro-Atlantic structures. He said his country supports Azerbaijan`s territorial
integrity in settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov expressed his gratitude to the Czech Republic for supporting
Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
Following the meeting, the ministers signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU)
between the two countries` foreign ministries.
