Ahmadinejad: Majlis should help remove obstacles

Tehran, April 7, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday called on Majlis deputies to spare no efforts to support the government and help remove existing obstacles to implementation of subsidy reform plan.

President Ahmadinejad made the remark in a speech to a group of businessmen in Tehran on Tuesday.

The plan, once implemented will help reduce level of consumption by 20 percent, he said.

Some economists believe that successful implementation of the project will benefit the country, he said.

“We need some big strides to join the club of big countries in the world,” he underlined.

A country which possesses nuclear technology and satellite and have made remarkable progress in various scientific fields thanks to its pious and committed youths can perform big tasks, he said.

The president advised all Iranians to use domestically-made products to strengthen production and which bring the country dignity and pride.

The next target for Iranian producers and businessmen should be global markets, underlined President Ahmadinejad./end
