Huge gas reserves discovery in Dera Ghazi Khan, Pakistan

Islamabad, July 5 PPI: Pakistan's Oil and Gas Development Company Friday announced discovery of huge gas reserves from a locality at Dera Ghazi Khan in Punjab province.

A OGDCL spokesman said discovery has been made from Dhodak Deep Well-1 which was
spudded on June 30, 2007 and drilled to target depth of 4150 meters.

On completion of work, gas output would be raised up to 5.5 million cubic feet a day
through half-inch choke. Well head pressure and water production has been recorded
as 1500 PSI and 60 BBL respectively.

OGDCL experts are engaged in exploration of oil and gas to make Pakistan
self-sufficient by executing government policies, spokesman added.
