Sanctions, resolutions will not affect Iran's determination

Tehran, April 7, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mihman-Parast said on Tuesday that sanctions and resolutions will not affect Iran's determination over its nuclear program.
Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said, “We do not welcome sanctions and resolutions but we believe that such conspiracies will not be able to hamper the national nuclear program.”
On Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, he said the issue should be reviewed at the International Atomic Energy Agency.
“From our point of view, Iran’s peaceful nuclear program has its natural trend and we believe that any move to exert pressure on Iran is considered as political, illogical and illegal measure,” he reiterated.
Tehran believes that its nuclear dossier has been closed, he said, adding that Iran has proposed its package to members of the Group 5+1 and is waiting for a response from them.
If the group announces its readiness to discuss Tehran’s proposed package, the Islamic Republic of Iran would welcome it, Mihman-Parast said.
Praising mass turnout of the Iraqi people in recent parliamentary elections, he said Tehran welcomes establishment of a popular government in the neighboring state.
He reiterated that the Iraqi stability and security would benefit the whole region, including Iran.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to boost ties with the neighboring states and the foreign ministry has planned to enhance level of diplomatic relations with regional countries, the Asian and Muslim nations and independent states.
On western disinformation campaign against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, he said that the enemies, including the Zionist regime, are against development and progress of the Muslim nations.
He said that existence of Tel Aviv regime is dependent on terrorist activities and escalation of tension in the region, expressing his satisfaction with the vigilance of the regional nations vis-a-vis the Zionist conspiracies./end
