CZECHIA, AZERBAIJAN SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT
Baku, 05 July, (AzerTAj)- Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and his Czech counterpart Karel Schwarzenberg held a press-conference in Baku on Friday.
E. Mammadyarov said during his meeting with the Czech Minister a cooperation agreement was signed between the Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
The Minister noted that he had informed his counterpart of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
According to him, economic cooperation between the two
countries was also discussed in the meeting.
The Minister pointed out they also touched upon enhancing the Azerbaijan-EU relations, as the Czech Republic will take over the EU's rotating presidency in January 1, 2009.
The Czech Minister, in turn, said during the meeting an agreement was reached on
establishing relations between the two countries` relevant bodies to deepen Azerbaijan`s relations with EU and NATO.
“We came to the conclusion that there are no problems in bilateral relations, and it
is an important fact,� the Minister said.
He also stressed that both countries have common political and economic interests.
