Mottaki: Iranians' arrest in Italy, a defeated US game

Tehran, April 6, IRNA – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Monday that the arrest of two Iranians in Italy is a game planned by United States’ CIA and Pentagon, implemented formerly in some other countries, but always faced defeat.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Information and Media Head Office Mottaki was elaborating on the latest status of the IRIB reporter Hamid Ma’souminezhad and Ali Damirchilou, in a meeting with their family members.
Mottaki reiterated, “It is the duty of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to safeguard the rights of the Iranians around the globe and in addition to that responsibility, our beliefs and humanity too dictate to us to pursue within the barrier of laws the fate of any Iranian who is faced with trouble anywhere in the world.”
Mottaki emphasized, “We ask the Italian officials to prepare the ground for the freedom of Ma’souminezhad and Damirchilou as soon as possible, since this is a game planned by the United States’ Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the US Defense Department, Pentagon, formerly implemented in some other countries and some other parts of the world, but always faced defeat.”
Mottaki reiterated, “Therefore, we ask the Italian government not to get engaged in the defeated scenario of the CIA and the Pentagon, and the Americans, too, had better know that this political and propagation game would yield no fruit for them.”
During the meeting the family members of Ma’souminezhad and Damirchilou reflected their viewpoints on the process of pursuing the arrest cases of their beloved ones and Mottaki directed the responsible organs at the Foreign Ministry to pursue the matter respectively./end
