President stresses introducing Iran as a pattern to world nations

Tehran, April 5, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Sunday evening underlined the need to construct the Islamic Iran and introduce it to the world nations as a pattern.
Addressing a group of Majlis representatives, he said while introducing the rich Iranian culture to the world, the Islamic Republic should materialize the principles of its culture at its international interactions.
Today, Iran is moving towards the climax of progress and development in all areas, President Ahmadinejad reiterated.
He said oil investment in the country stood at dlrs 32 billion during 1380-83 (2001-2004) while the figure has increased to dlrs 67 billion from 1384-88 (2005-2009). Such a boost was made while the country was faced with the most severe sanctions by certain countries, the President added.
Praising Iran’s status at the international level, he noted that Tehran has bolstered its all-out ties with neighboring countries as well as a large number of world countries.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has the upper hand in the region and in many of its international interactions, President Ahmadinejad said.
He further underscored the need for resistance against any kind of domestic and international pressures.
Referring to the targeted subsidy system as a national project, the President called on MPs to cooperate with the government to materialize the project in the best possible manner so that all people would benefit from its outcome./end
