Police arrest teens for push off bike

Police have arrested two teenagers accused of driving past a woman and pushing her
from her bike causing serious injuries.
The two males accused of the attack turned up at their local police station
afterwards claiming there had been an accident but they were arrested.
The woman was hospitalised following the incident in which she told police she was
pushed from her bike by a passing car at Officer, in Melbourne's outer southeast,
about 12.30pm (AEST) on Sunday.
The 53-year-old woman from Berwick was allegedly riding west on the Princes Highway
when a white Commodore travelling in the same direction changed lanes and slowed
before the front seat passenger leant out of the window and pushed her.
The rider fell from her bike and onto the road surface as the Commodore sped off.
The woman was almost run over by a following four-wheel drive vehicle, which then
stopped and helped her.
She was taken by ambulance to The Alfred hospital with serious injuries.
A short time later, two men aged 19 and 17, both from Cranbourne, attended the
police station claiming there had been an accident.
The pair were subsequently arrested and are currently being interviewed.
