Iranian MPs in Bahrain for parliamentary talks

Tehran, April 4, IRNA – A 12-member Iranian parliamentary delegation arrived in Manama, Bahrain, Sunday morning to confer with Bahraini officials on international, regional and parliamentary relations.

Upon arrival, the Iranian Majlis (Parliament) deputies were welcomed by the Bahraini vice-speaker, Iran’s Ambassador to Manama Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and a number of Bahraini parliament deputies.

The delegation is led by parliamentarian Heshmatollah Falahat-Pisheh, who is also president of the executive council of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly.

The trip is due to last for three days during which the two sides are to evaluate ways to promote both parliamentary and bilateral cooperation./end
