MONGOLIA, WB FOSTER COOPERATION


Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister S.Batbold received Monday a delegation led by Vice President of Financial and Private Sector Development of the World Bank, Janamitra Devan.
The latter expressed his satisfaction with a successful development of relations and cooperation between WB and Mongolia in a private sector and said his hope this relationship will be expanded.
Mr Batbold introduced a process of how Mongolia is overcoming the difficulties of economic crisis and its pressing issues and said that it has objectives to complexly solve issues such as investment in mining sector, harsh winter consequences, urban development, residential apartments, infrastructure and education. He mentioned the importance of close cooperation with WB and IMF in solving the above matters.
Thanks to definite actions to promote the private sector, Mongolia has achieved great success, and the private sector has promoted to key economic mobilizing power. Bank sector development gives important push to the promotion of the private sector.
Mr Devan emphasized a significance of developing security market with no wasting time, and announced that WB is ready to render assistance to the bank and financial sectors of Mongolia.
