ECOLOGY MINISTER MEETS GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT FACILITY’S CEO
Baku, 02 July, (AzerTAj)Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR) Huseyngulu Bagirov met Tuesday with Chief Executive Officer of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Mrs. Monique Barbut.
During the meeting, the Minister updated the guest on the work done in the country to protect environment. The sides also discussed prospects of cooperation between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Recourses and Global Environment Facility.
The same day, Mrs. Barbut visited Alley of Honors and Alley of Martyrs to revere the memory of the nationwide leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and brave sons of Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives for independence and territorial integrity of the country and laid flower on their graves.
GEF’s chief also visited Shirvan National Park.
