YEMEN, SAVE THE CHILDREN DISCUSS SUPPORTING DISPLACED CHILDREN

AMMRAN, March 23 (Saba) - Yemen and Save the Children held talks on
Tuesday on the aspects of supporting the displaced children in Amran
province.

Amran local council General Secretary Saleh al-Makhlous reviewed
with a delegation of the Save the Children organization the current
plans and programs of the organization that is including presenting
psychiatric care, school's requirements and spreading awareness of
children protection from mine risks and children labor.

Al-Makhlous confirmed the province leadership's cooperation with the
organization and facilitate its missions, affirming the importance
of enhancing the supportive areas for the children, topped by the
displaced ones and those in damaged and rural areas.

For her part, the programs director in the organization affirmed
their readiness to support all the activities concerning children,
saying that the organization via UNICEF is to start on Wednesday
distributing school bags for many schools and camps.
