KFAED GRANTS YEMEN $41 MLN TO FINANCE SOCOTRA PORT



SANA'A, March 23 (Saba) - Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development
(KFAED) granted Yemen on Tuesday with $ 41 million to finance the
implementation Socotra seaport.

The agreement was signed by Minister of Planning and International
Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and Board Chairman of Arab Sea
Ports Abdul Hafid al-Qu'aiti and the KFAED Director General
Abdul-Wahab al-Badr.

After signing the agreement, KFAED Director General affirmed that
the KFAED will speed up the procedures to sign the third cooperation
agreement between Yemen and the fund in electricity.

Al-Badr accentuated that the bilateral cooperation between Yemen and
the Fund will exceed what has been agreed on previously and will
open new horizons for partnership.
