Bradshaw confident of Swans' potency

He's barely laced a boot for Sydney yet, but prized recruit Daniel Bradshaw predicts
the Swans will boast a potent forward line in this year's AFL competition.
The former Brisbane Lions full forward will spearhead a revamped Swans forward line.
With Barry Hall departed and Michael O'Loughlin retired, Bradshaw will lead Sydney's
line, assisted by exciting youngster Jesse White and dual Brownlow Medallist Adam
Goodes at centre half-forward.
Bradshaw has yet to play a game for the Swans after a knee arthroscopy interrupted
his pre-season campaign.
However, the 31-year-old declared himself "very confident" of making his debut in
Saturday's opening round fixture against St Kilda in Sydney and was excited about
the Swans' forward line.
"I've had a couple of really tough weeks on the training track testing my knee and
I've got through that alright and I've been pulling up really well," Bradshaw told
AAP.
"The guys have been playing an exciting brand of footy and I think we're trying to
move the ball a lot quicker into the forward line.
"Obviously Goodesy and Jesse down there, I haven't had heaps of time out on the
track with them, so that's probably going to be a challenge for us for the next few
weeks.
"I think it's going to be a really potent forward line, we're going to test a lot of
defenders out and put a lot of pressure on teams.
"I can't wait to get out there. We've got a lot of good small forwards running around."
Part of Brisbane's glorious premiership-winning era, Bradshaw downplayed his own
expectations at his new home.
"I'm not putting too many high expectations on myself, but I think as a team, what
we've shown in the early games of the season, we might be a fair chance to get into
the eight."
Sydney coach Paul Roos said the Swans would have no excuses heading into round one.
Acknowledging it might take a little time for Bradshaw to fully integrate into the
Sydney set-up, Roos believed it could be three or four rounds before the Swans hit
their peak.
