STATE HEAD ARRIVES IN BAYAN-OLGII
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ President Ts.Elbegdorj arrived Monday in Bayan-Olgii aimag. He intends to meet with the locals and take art in opening ceremony of the Nowruz (New Year celebration of Kazakh people).
The State Head was welcomed at the Olgii soum's airport by the local authorities and people.
The authorities gave a report to the State Head on present time affairs and said 85 thousand livestock perished in their province due to severe weather. A Deputy Governor of the aimag Sh.Seriktes put three requests--to resume the "Khokh ereg" border checkpoint, which is 62 km far from Kazakhstan's border, to put the "Ulaan-Uul-Dayan" border checkpoint into permanent operation, and to support in solving a matter regarding an allowance for the western region.
The President mentioned that he wants to tour Buaynt and Sagsai soums in order to get au fait with a spring, and promised to cooperate with the State Great Khural and the government in positively solving the above requests.
Elbegdorj said some PMs submitted draft laws on granting allowance to the western aimags and rendering tax relief, and added that he appreciates these drafts. He obliged the people in power to respect citizen-targeted bureaucracy-free service and to protect interests of people.
After this meeting, Elbegdorj attended an opening ceremony of the Nowruz. He has been accompanied by D.Dorligjav, a head of the Presidential Office; Kh.Jekei, Kh.Badelkhan and B.Batbayar MPs, and by T.Ochirkhuu, a Vice Minister of Finance.
