DRAFT LAW SUBMITTED
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/A renewed draft law on participation of mililtary and police officers in UN peacekeeping missions and other international actions has been presented to parliamentary Speaker D.Demberel on Tuesday.
Since an adoption in 2002 of the law on participation of mililtary and police officers in UN peacekeeping missions and other international actions, Mongolia's Armed Forces have taken part in some ten international peacekeeping actions involving 3,479 military troops and officers.
The draft law proposes to allow not only police and miliary officers to take part in these peacekeeping actions but also staffers of intelligence agency, emergency agency and court decision enforcement authority.
