TECHNICAL EDUCATION TO RECEIVE JAPANESE GRANT OF 36 CAR MOTORS

SANA'A, March 22 (Saba)-Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ibrahim Hajari said on Monday the ministry would receive in coming days a grant presented by the Japanese government to Yemen.

The Japanese grant is around 36 car motors to the technical education in Yemen within efforts of developing system of the technical especially in field of vehicle maintenance.

In the second meeting for the joint Yemeni-Japanese coordination committee for project of improving the system of technical education in vehicle maintenance, the minister said the meeting was important to evaluate the project during the previous period.

The project is funded by the Japanese government represented by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at sum of $ 4 million for four years started from 2009.

The minister valued the Japanese support for the development process in Yemen and the technical education.

The JICA representative made it clear that the agency has worked to support Yemen in the capacities building as the agency sent three Yemeni students to receive technical courses in Japan.
