Four injured as Qld police chase car

Four people were hurt when a car being chased by police collided with another
vehicle on a roundabout on Queensland's Gold Coast.
Police had tried to stop the car at Miami about 12.40pm (AEST) on Sunday in relation
to armed robberies on the Gold Coast, but it allegedly sped off.
They pursued it briefly through Miami, when it entered a roundabout and collided
with another vehicle.
The 78-year-old driver of the second vehicle was injured and taken to Robina Hospital.
The three occupants of the first car, two men and a woman, all believed to be in
their 20s, sustained minor injuries.
The male driver has been taken to the Gold Coast Hospital where detectives hope to
interview him about recent armed robberies.
Queensland police said the man is also wanted by police in NSW.
The police Ethical Service Command will oversee an investigation of the incident.
The incident happened just hours after four people died as a result of a crash
involving a car fleeing from a police in Canberra.
