YEMEN DELEGATION TO HEAD FOR WASHINGTON OVER WTO ACCESSION TALKS

SANA'A, March 18 (Saba)- A Yemeni delegation is going to head for Washington in April in an official visit to hold commercial talks over signing a bilateral agreement on accessing markets within efforts of Yemen to join the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Informed sources at the Ministry of Industry and Trade have made clear that the talks with the concerned American officials will be dedicated to present Yemen efforts in implementing accession requirements to the WTO, including the adjustment of legislations and laws.

The sources hoped the visit comes out with the finalization of the bilateral negotiations with the US which will form a strong push in the process of the Organization membership.

They indicated that Yemen had signed bilateral agreements with commercial partners, out of which China, the European Union, Australia and Canada.
