GUAM-POLAND SUMMIT HELD IN BATUMI

Baku, 02 July, (AzerTAj)The GUAM-Poland summit took place in Batumi, Georgia, on Tuesday.

Opening remarks were made by Georgian leader Mikheil Saakashvili.
Polish President Lech Kaczynski said his country places a particular emphasis on the development of its relationships with GUAM countries.

He said Poland supports territorial integrity of GUAM states which face conflicts, including Abkhazia and Nagorno-Karabakh ones.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev praised his Polish counterpart’s contribution to developing the GUAM-Poland relations.

He also spoke of regional cooperation and GUAM`s activities during Azerbaijan`s chairmanship.
