Iran keen on upgrading friendly ties with Saudi Arabia:President
Tehran, March 18, IRNA -- President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is keen on upgrading friendly ties with Saudi Arabia.
President Ahmadinejad told Iran’s new Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Javad Rasouli Mahallati prior to his departure that the Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to enhance level of brotherly ties with the Islamic nations, Saudi Arabia in particular.
Ambassadors play crucial role in expansion of regional cooperation, said the Iranian president adding that promotion of justice, friendship and good neighborly relations are the diplomacy priority of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The new Iranian ambassador briefed the president on his plans to enhance level of friendly relations with Saudi Arabia during his tenure./end
