GRANT AWARD CEREMONY TAKES PLACES
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Millennium Challenge Account-Mongolia (MCA-M) Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Project has organized a Grant Award Ceremony in Chinggis Khan hotel conference hall.
MCA-M TVET project launched a Competitive Grants Program including “Employers and Training Institutions Cooperation” and “Incubation and Dissemination of Best Practices” grants. During this ceremony, the Grant Awards Notice was handed out to the selected organizations.
CGP is aimed at improving the quality and relevance of TVET services to meet labor market needs. A total of 66 proposals were received from over 30 TVET institutions, out which 38, which met the grant proposal requirements, were evaluated by an independent Proposal Evaluation Panel following the set evaluation criterion. The final selection was performed by the Grant Committee established under MCA-M. As a result, grants were awarded to nine projects in “Employers and Training Institutions Cooperation” and eight projects in “Incubation and Dissemination of Best Practices”, respectively.
Through the CGP the total over 1,200.000 USD worth of investment was provided to 17 TVET institutions from MCA-M TVET project. The Grant Awards Notices were handed to the schools by Yo.Otgonbayar, a Minister for Education, Culture and Science, Mr Robert Reid, MCC Resident Country Director, and S.Bayarbaatar, MCA-M Chief Executive Officer.
