Shoura Council holds session
Riyadh, July 1, SPA -- Presided over by its Assistant Chairman Dr.
Abdulrahman Al-Barak, the Shoura Council held its 33rd ordinary
session here today.
The Council congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the third anniversary of ascending
the throne. The Council also congratulated the Saudi people on this
occasion.
At the outset of the session, Al-Barak praised the giant achievements
at domestic, regional and international levels over the last three
years.
He also praised the support rendered by the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin
Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation
and Inspector General, for the Shoura Council.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session,
Assistant Secretary General of the Council Ahmed bin Abdulaziz
Al-Yahya said that the Council continued discussing the draft
regulation of financing companies and voted on mortgaging of
notarized real property. The Council will continue voting on the rest
of the regulation's articles in a future session.
