MAYOR VISITS CZECH NAT'L DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city G.Monkhbayar has visited the National Development Agency (NDA) of the Czech Republic in a scope of his visit to Europe. He exchanged information with the agency's authorities on projects and programs implemented by Mongolia's government in Ulaanbaatar and expressed his opinions about tackling problems.
The NDA's deputy head Mr Martin Naprstek noted that Mongolia is listed at the first one of the countries that receive development aid. He added that the NDA experts had worked in Ulaanbaatar on a project to determine effects of "Khargia" sewage-plant on environment and nature. The Mayor thanked the NDA for deciding to implement another project of CZK 1.7 million for reforming the Ulaanbaatar city's sewage-plant.
Saying that a forum of international investors would be held April of 2010 in the capital city together with the World Bank (WB), Monkhbayar underlined that Mongolian side will fully support projects and programs realized by the NDA, and expressed a hope that the bilateral cooperation will reach great achievements. The Mayor told Naprstek that he had met with authorities of the European Union (EU) during the visits of Mongolia's Premier to Austria and Hungary and that results had been achieved on several issues. "Our country has signed a contract on interest-free loan of USD 25 million with Hungary's side for reforming technologies of a bio-factory named 'Hungarian village' in Ulaanbaatar and renovating flood dam near this factory," said Monkhbayar.
The NDA intends to implement several projects in Mongolia in the environmental sector, besides, the sides discussed an issue of developing collaboration in pure water resource in residential areas.
