AZERBAIJAN`s PRESIDENT RECEIVES CEO OF GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT FACILITY

Baku, 1 July, (AzerTAj)President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Monday Chief Executive Officer of the Global Environment Facility Mrs. Monique Barbut.

The President said a number of large environmental projects have been conducted in
Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev pointed to successful cooperation between the Global
Environment Facility and relevant authorities in Azerbaijan, and stressed the
importance of Monique Barbut`s current trip in terms of strengthening this
cooperation.

The CEO of the Global Environment Facility said she has witnessed huge economic
development in Azerbaijan.
She praised the work done to strengthen environmental protection in the country.

Monique Barbut expressed hope joint projects between Global Environment Facility and
Azerbaijan will contribute to strengthening the bilateral cooperation between the
organization and the country.
