OPENING GULF MARKETS FOR LABORS TO ASSIST YEMEN FACING CHALLENGES

SANA'A, March 15 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arahbi confirmed on Monday the importance of opening the gulf markets for Yemeni labors as a solution to help Yemen in facing current challenges.

Al-Arahbi reviewed during his meeting with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Crisis Group (ICG) Louise Arbour the current challenges Yemen encounters, topped by the high rates of population and unemployment and limited resources.

He made reference to the importance of supporting the Yemeni government's efforts that aim to compact terrorism and extremism through comprehensive development and creating youth opportunities.

It is worth mention the International Crisis Group is now generally recognized as the world's leading independent, non-partisan, source of analysis and advice to governments, and intergovernmental bodies like the United Nations, European Union and World Bank, on the prevention and resolution of deadly conflict.
