PREMIER'S VISIT ENDS
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Official visit of Prime Minister S.Batbold to the Republic of Hungary has ended. There he held meetings with Laszlу Sуlyom, Hungary's President; Bela Katona, Speaker of the Parliament of Hungary; Gordon Bajnai, Prime Minister; Gabor Demszky; Mayor of Budapest city; Habis Laszlo, governor of Eger City of Heves County. During these meetings, the sides concluded the bilateral relationship's activities run after the establishment of the diplomatic relations, and reached agreements to develop the further cooperation.
The main aims of the visit were to seek ways of introducing the European standards in Mongolia and to reach understanding and agreements in this issue. While talking to the Hungarian Premier, S.Batbold touched upon an issue on studying experiences of Hungary in introducing the European standards. The Prime Ministers agreed to insert a special clause concerning introduction of these standards in a partnership and cooperation agreement to be established between Mongolia and the European Union (EU). They agreed to develop cooperation in tackling the financial matters as well. Moreover, the sides underlined an importance of Hungary's presidency of the EU to start from 2011 to forward the agreement.
In frames of the official visit to the country, the Premier agreed with Hungary to establish an agreement on protecting interests of Mongolians living in Hungary and on their social insurance. The sides reached a mutual understanding on operating a Hungary's permanent representative in Ulaanbaatar and on granting Hungarian visas to Mongolians through an Embassy of EU member in Ulaanbaatar.
The countries discussed and decided to solve issues on increasing the bilateral trade turnover, cooperating in the educational sector, renovating the engineering lines in Ulaanbaatar, setting up a joint institute of geo-physics, establishing a joint council for businessmen of the countries and on accelerating the implementation of an interest-free loan of USD 25 million.
S.Batbold held a meeting with Mongolians living in Hungary. He spoke about the state policy and activities, and expressed his position towards tackling problems, facing these Mongolians, in a framework of the two countries' governments matters.
