Majlis ratifies next year budget bill
Tehran, March 14, IRNA – The Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis) here on Sunday concluded debate on the budget bill for the next Iranian calendar year (to start March 21) and ratified the bill.
The legislative body had started debate on the bill on March 8.
The total budget for the next year in terms of resources and spendings stands at over 3,685 trillion rials.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad submitted the next year budget bill to the legislative body on January 24.
The budget bill will be presented to the Guardian Council for final endorsement./end
