Iran breaks several US-backed cyber war networks

Tehran, March 14, IRNA – Tehran Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor Office in a statement said that a number of organized US-backed war networks have been broken in the country.

The statement added that 30 people have also been arrested in this concern.

The statement, which was received by IRNA on Saturday evening, said that the hard efforts of security officers and revolutionary people, a number of important organized networks of the US cyber war which were operated by anti-revolutionary groups in Iran were recognized.

The statement reminded that the CIA in the year of 2006 allocated a budget of 400 million dollars for a plan to destabilize Iran and in this concern elements of anti-revolutionary grouplets like MKO, monarchists and others were employed.

In this direction, a network dubbed as “ Iran Proxy” was established by the CIA under the cover of IBB bureau in the US State Department and a budget of 50 million dollars was allocated for it.

Among missions of the network, were getting access to Iran’s information banks, penetration and sabotage in Iran’s internet sites, fight against filtering in the country, creating security for internet users, creating a secure telephone and data communication ground for making interviews with Radio Farda, Radio Zamaneh, Voice of America and other western media, the statement added.

The statement stressed that among other US measures in this concern, was commissioning a network dubbed as “ Human Rights Activists” for MKO, which was established in 2006 by two members of MKO called Sadeq Naqqashkar and Behrouz Javid Tehrani.

According to the statement, the most important actions of the networks were as follows:
1-Creation of network for collecting information, specially about nuclear scientists in the country,
2-Recognizing, absorbing and organizing Iranians residing abroad,
3-Preparing a report for psychological war against Islamic Republic of Iran and religious sanctities,
4-Holding illegal gathering and encouraging people to attend them after the elections,
5-Issuing false news, including news about killing of 72 persons in post election events,
6-News and media support for Rigi terrorist group and Monarchy Society,
7-Illegal transfer of accused persons abroad through anti-revolutionary group,
8-Hacking activities to penetrate state servers to get access to secret information of government,
9-Planning to create disturbance in city management system and service network,
10-Establishment of a security cover for armed struggle against Iran’s regime.

The statement pointed out that the main elements of the network inside the country have been arrested and Interpol has been asked to take appropriate measures against those who live abroad./end
