Yemen, UNHCR discuss condition of Somali refugees in Lahj

SANA'A, March 13 (Saba)-
Lahj governor Muhsin al-Naqib held a meeting on Saturday with the official of
security at
the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) office in Sana'a Adel
Sharif over condition of the Somali refugees in Kharaz camp.
They also discussed level of humanitarian services presented to the refugees in the
camp in addition to projects of the UNHCR to improve living condition of the
refugees
and citizens of villages around the camp.
The governor valued efforts exerted by the UNHCR to enhance living standard of the
refugees, affirming importance of extending services projects presented to the
refugees
in fields of electricity, waters, education security and health. According to the
official statistics, around 700,000 refugees are living in Yemen.
