WORLD VISION TO HELP MONGOLIANS
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ "World Vision" international organization has decided to give USD 500 thousand to Mongolian herdsmen who have suffered from extreme cold. It was sounded Thursday by Mrs D.Dupa, a World Vision director in charge of eastern region, at a meeting with M.Enkhbold, a Deputy Premier of Mongolia.
Mrs Dupa underlined that the World Vision highly appreciates staged measures taken against the disaster. The Deputy Premier spoke about various works to help the disaater-struck herdsmen, their families, children, women and seniors, and adde that the measures are continuing to provide herdsmen with livestock, food and moral aid.
Mrs Dupa bried about a comprehensive research into food safety conducted by the World Vision in Gobi-Altai and Khovd aimags. She added that the World Vision is to announce resuts of a survey that covered 7,500 families in the city's six districts and in 18 provinces.
At this meeting, Mr Enkhbold was awarded a medal of honor. "It is for Your significant contribution to enhancing opportunities for the Mongolian children to be protected and to grow up healthy, and for making the World Vision more helpful and efficient," Dupa said.
