S.BATBOLD MEETS HUNGARIAN PRIME MINISTER



Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister S.Batbold started Wednesday his official visit to the Republic of Hungary. He met with his counterpart Gordon Bajnai.
Batbold said Mongolia decided to reflect a special clause on introducing European standards into all sectors in a partnership and cooperation agreement to be established with the European Union (EU), and expressed a willingness to cooperate with Hungary in this. Batbold requested Hungary's side to actively support activities of the International Think tank of Protecting Interests of Landlocked Developing Countries.
The Hungarian Premier appreciated the request, and voiced his willingness to promote Mongolia's intention to introduce the European standards in times when Hungary chairs the EU during 2011 and to have its experts work in Mongolia.
The dignitaries agreed to discuss and tackle issues of protecting interests of Mongolians in Hungary, renovating the engineering lines and networks in Ulaanbaatar city, founding a joint institute of geo-physics, widening the collaboration in education, culture and science sectors, establishing a joint council for businessmen of the two countries, and accelerating a realization of the interest-free loan of USD 25 million.
Present at the meeting were from Mongolia's side O.Erdenechimeg, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Hungary; S.Bayartsogt, Minister of Finance; Ch.Saikhanbileg and R.Bud MPs; G.Monkhbayar, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city; O.Och, advisor to the Prime Minister on foreign policy; D.Tsogtbaatar, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Sh.Odonbaatar, director of the Foreign Ministry's Department of Europe.
After the meeting, the Premiers called a joint news conference to talk about the visit's importance.
