YEMEN, IAEA DISCUSS COOPERATION ASPECTS



VIENNA, March 11(Saba) – The Secretary-General of the National Commission for Atomic Energy Mohamed al-Hada discussed here on Thursday with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s Director General aspects of the technical cooperation between Yemen and the agency and means of boosting them.

The discussions focused on the possibility of the agency supporting to the cancer control activities in Yemen and increasing the presented support to improve the agricultural yields and energy activities as well as training the national cadres in the relevant areas.

The IAEA's director general expressed his satisfaction for the level of cooperation with Yemen, affirming the agency's readiness to double the size of the implemented projects and building the Yemeni capacities in the areas of nuclear medicine and energy.

He hoped Yemen to partake in the International Scientific Forum on Cancer , which will be organized by the agency in the next September.

For his part, al-Hada expressed his thanks and appreciation to the IAEA for its readiness to increase its support presented to Yemen.
