MONGOLIA, AUSTRIA RELATIONSHIP TO ACCELERATE
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Visiting Mongolia's Prime Minister S.Batbold met with the Federal Chancellor of Austria, Werner Faymann in Vienna, Austria, on March 9, 2010. The meeting between Faymann and Batbold focused on economic and political issues.
The dignitaries agreed to work hard in fully realizing issues reached in agreement at the 4th meeting of Mongolian-Austrian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation held in Vienna February 23-25 this year. These issues include implementing the projects on introducing Austrian experiences in Mongolia regarding filtering thermo power plant's caol smoke by mechanic and chemical methods, constructing a plant to produce energy by processing garbage, introducing a technology on renovating engineering water lines in Ulaanbaatar, renewing equipment used in Tumor Study National Center of Mongolia and setting up a model irrigated agricultural farming.
Prime Minister S.Batbold proposed introducingh European Union standards in Mongolia. In turn, Mr Faymann announced that Austria will help Mongolia in this issue.
Then the sides exchanged views on possibilities of supplying joint goods and services to markets in Siberia and northern China according to a suggestion of the Mongolian party.
The Mongolian Premier emphasized that bilateral cooperation in education sector is possible to be extended and requested to officially involve Mongolian students in scholarship and research programs that are implemented by International Cooperation Agency at the Austrian education and research sector. With the aim of deepening cooperating in education sector, Mr Faymann invited Mongolian Education Minister to visit Austria.
Mr Batbold invited Mr Faymann to visit Mongolia.
