GCC Foreign Ministers reiterate support to Yemen
RIYADH, March 10 (Saba) – Foreign
Ministers of Arabian Gulf States reiterated on Tuesday their countries' support to
Yemen
during the 144th round, held in Saudi Arabia's capital of Riyadh.
The round hailed the outcomes of the 19th round of Yemeni-Saudi Coordination
Council, held in Riyadh in late February.
At the round, which was chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, the council said that
the outcomes demonstrated the keenness of the two countries to boost mutual
cooperation
in all areas.
The council also hailed the decision to stop the military operations in northern
Yemen.
The final statement of the round noted that the ministers was briefed on the
outcomes of the February 27-28 Donor Conference that focused on the best ways to
give aid to
Yemen as well as identifying development needs of the country.
During the meeting, Secretary General of the GCC Abdul Rahman al-Attiyah said the
Gulf Foreign Ministers were also briefed on arrangements for the fifth meeting of
the ministers
and their Yemeni counterpart scheduled for 17 March in Sana'a.
