Japanese Minister visits Saudi-Japanese Automobile Higher
Jeddah, June 28, SPA -- Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade, &
Industry Akira Amari and his accompanying delegation visited here
today Saudi-Japanese Automobile Higher Institute.
He was accompanied by Japanese ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Shigeru Nakamura.
Speaking on the occasion, the Institute's executive director Salim Al-Asmari highlighted the great support being extended to the
Institute by the Saudi government.
He noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has ordered allocation of 70,000 square meters of land area for the Institute.
On his part, the Japanese minister said the Institute stands as a symbol for the existing Saudi-Japanese friendship, adding that it is the fruit of the historical visit paid by King Abdullah to Japan in 1998 for the transference of the Japanese technology to the Kingdom.
He highlighted the existing distinguished relations between the
Kingdom and Japan.
He said the Kingdom has been working to train Saudi cadres and
prepare them for contribution to the development of their county.
During the tour of the Institute, the Japanese minister held a
meeting with the graduated Saudi trainees and some students.
