PREMIER: MONGOLIA WANTS TO INTRODUCE EUROPEAN STANDARDS
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Prime Minister S.Batbold received Monday Yoshiteru Uramoto, Deputy Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The Premier said Mongolia intends to introduce European standards in all spheres, and managed to agree with the UNIDO to cooperate in implementing the policy on the above intention. Batbold mentioned about the UNIDO's research into industrial policy of Mongolia which was carried out early 1990s, and emphasized that this research yielded a vital effect to the development of Mongolia.
The sides agreed to develop active cooperation in accumulating capital for realizing the Mongolia-UNIDO joint program on technical cooperation established in 2006.
Mr Uramoto introduced to the Premier a course of the UNIDO's research ito developing the industrialization in Mongolia, and said he pays a great attention to the standard matters. Mongolia's Prime Minister said he pays attention to ways the Republic of Kazakhstan is introducing European standards in all sectors with an assistance from the UNIDO and expressed his willingness to collaborate with the UNIDO in it.
In respect of this proposal, the UNIDO's side decided to render assistance to Mongolia for drilling standards of the European Union (EU) into the industrial sector of Mongolia.
