Iran, Georgia lift visa requirement - VP

Tehran, March 8, IRNA – The first vice-president said Iran and Georgia approved visa cancellation for their nationals.
Mohammad-Reza Rahimi made the remark in a press briefing Sunday evening in Tehran and said this is according to the various agreements which have been signed between the two countries.
On Presdident Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s upcoming visit to Afghanistan, Rahimi said the visit will be made on an invitation from Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
Rahimi added the president will confer with the Afghan top officials on the issues of mutual interest as well as ways to ensure peace in Afghanistan and the region.
About Iran-Ecuador cooperation, the first vice-president referred to the latest visit of his Ecuadorian counterpart to the country which brought about a bilateral agreement on construction of two power plants in the country by the Iranian experts.
Rahimi also announced the third round of the president's provincial tours to southern Iranian province of Hormuzgan that is planned for March 10-11./end
