Majlis starts debate on next year budget bill
Tehran, March 8, IRNA – The Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis) here on Monday started debate on the budget bill for the next Iranian calendar year (to start March 21).
The total budget for the next year in terms of resources and spendings stands at over 3,685 trillion rials.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad submitted the next year budget bill to the legislative body on January 24.
The Majlis will debate the bill from now on in its morning and afternoon sessions until its outlines are ratified by the MPs./end
