Bushehr power plant undergoes final stages of safety test
Tehran, March 8, IRNA – Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali-Akbar Salehi said here Sunday that Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has passed main tests and now it is undergoing final stages of safety test.
Salehi, briefing Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission on latest status of Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, said the plant has no longer any hardware work and main tests on it have been conducted and it is now undergoing the last phases of safety test.
He said the power plant will join the nationdie power grid next year.
He added Majlis is considering the construction of 20 more nuclear power plants and the AEOI too is busy designing a 360 megawatt powr plant.
Providing Majlis deputies on detailed account of the IAEA Chief’s Iran report, he said the IAEA director general is expected to rectify some weak points in his report./end
