Eight world firms win tender to prepare Yemeni educational facilities
SANA'A, March
06 (Saba) - 8 out of 21 international companies have won a Yemeni tender to equip
and prepare
18 technical institutes at a cost of $ 50 million granted by Saudi Arabia.
Deputy Minister for Technical Education and Vocational Training Alawi BaFaqih said
the ministry got the approval of the Supreme Tender Committee of the documents of
preparing
the institutes with finance from the Saudi Development Fund.
The winners included British, Canadian, Swedish, Malaysian, Dutch, Korean and
German firms and they will compete again for another international tender to equip
the institutes
in the coming days.
They will also supervise installing modern equipment and other instruments related
to technical education as well as training Yemeni cadres in the use of them.
Moreover, they will supervise agreement preparation to import the equipment.
