2009-2010 study year launched in Saada

SAADA, March 06 (Saba)- Saada Governor Taha
Hajer launched on Saturday 2009-2010 study year in the province which was stopped
because
rebellion of al-Houthi elements.
Some 150,000 female and male students went to schools in the province in addition
to 4,000 students resumed the study in faculty of education in the province.
The governor stated that the province would witness a new stage of security and
peace, highlighting efforts of the education office in the province to prepare for
the new
study year.
Meanwhile, the governor held a meeting for the directors of the executive offices
over performance of the offices and steps taken to achieve peace and security in
the province.
In spite of obstacles, implementation for six ceasefire terms is under way, the
governor said, all should support peace process in the province.
He said that two new power generators would be brought to extend the power capacity
in the province from 3 MgW to 6.5 MgW, highlighting decision of President Ali
Abdullah
Saleh to build Saada University.
The meeting also discussed plan of the executive offices for this year.
It is worth mentioning that YR 1.3 billion was allocated to carry out development
projects in the province.
