19 Yemeni trade deals with Pakistan worth $ 20 mln
KARACHI, March 07 (Saba) - The
Chief Executive of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Syed Mohibullah has
announced
signing of 19 commercial agreements with a number of Yemeni businessmen worth a
total of about $ 20 million.
Mohibullah said that the deals signed with the Yemeni businessmen included the
purchase of rice , petroleum products ,textiles ,clothing and medical equipments of
high quality
and competitive prices.
He added: "Negotiations are also underway for more than four other trade deals."
According to the Pakistani official $80 million contracts have been concluded in
the 5th
Expo Pakistan 2010, while negotiations are in their final stages with foreign
importers for export orders of over $ 130 million.
A delegation of Yemeni businessmen headed by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in
the province of Baidhaa Mohammad Mussa took part in the 5th Expo Pakistan
Exhibition,
which was held last week in Pakistan's economic capital, Karachi.
On the sideline of the exhibition, Moussa emphasized the importance of
strengthening trade ties between Yemen and Pakistan for the interests of the two
countries, pointing
out that the Pakistani goods that were exhibited in the exhibition of high-quality.
