Yemen, IMF official talks concluded in Sana`a
SANA'A, March 06 (Saba)- The official
talks between the Yemeni government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were
concluded
here on Saturday.
The talks chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Karim
al-Arhabi dealt with a number of issues relating to the directions of cooperation
between
Yemen and the IMF, especially with regard to supporting the government efforts
aiming to enhance the financial reforms.
The two sides agreed to complete implementation of decisions of the memorandum of
understanding for the program of joint cooperation between the government and the
Fund
by the start of spring meetings of the World Bank and the IMF in Washington.
Al-Arhabi confirmed the Yemeni government's keenness to continue to implement the
reforms aiming to promote the performance and efficiency of the financial
administration
in Yemen , noting the IMF's contributions to support the government efforts in this
regard.
