Iran starts Nasr-1 cruise missile production
Tehran, March 7, IRNA – Production of Nasr-1 cruise missile was inaugurated by Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi on Sunday.
Addressing a ceremony held on the production of Nasr-1 missile, the minister said Nasr-1 is a cruise missile which is capable of destroying 3,000-ton targets.
He added that the short-range surface-to-surface missile will be capable of being fired from the air and underwater in the near future.
The mass production of the missile will significantly increase the defense potentials of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy, the minister reiterated./end
